Research Affiliate
Sreya Sarkar is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Iowa. She received her PhD in Statistics from the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science at the University of Iowa in 2026, where she worked with Dr. Sanvesh Srivastava, who has been a great influence on her life. Earlier, she completed her master’s thesis under the guidance of Dr. Minerva Mukhopadhyay at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India. Her research interests include Bayesian tensor regression, tensor data analysis, and mixed-effects models. She joined the Mallick Lab in summer 2024 and continues to work with Professor Mallick as a Research Affiliate.
