Dr. Himel Mallick is a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Population Health Sciences in the Division of Biostatistics at Weill Cornell Medicine, with a secondary appointment in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology in the Department of Medicine. He is also Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Statistics and Data Science at Cornell University and Affiliate Faculty of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence for Digital Health and the Cornell Center for Health Equity.
The Mallick Lab develops statistical and AI methods, software, and data products to generate and validate testable hypotheses that accelerate data-driven discovery. Its research centers on reverse translational efforts that integrate diverse biological data through artificial intelligence, machine learning, systems biology, and omics data science, enabling target identification and biomarker discovery across a range of indications. Current work focuses on causal multimodal AI and uncertainty quantification for systems biology.
